Job Description Assistant Vice-President of Gaming Services

Education
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in information technology, management information services, computer science, or a closely related field.
Masters Degree is preferred.
Several successful years of directly related business may be considered.


Experience
Ten years of experience working in the IT leadership role with increasing variety and/or complexity.
Five years of proven project management experience.


Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Strong strategic and business mindset with outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations with superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Extensive knowledge of information technology, modern electronic data processing theory, principles, and practices; management information systems, information governance, project management and business analysis, office automation, personal computers, and computerized financial applications.
Considerable knowledge of IT architecture and infrastructure.
Knowledge of gaming business and hospitality operations.
Knowledge of project management principles, theories and quality assurance processes.


Skills and Abilities
Ability to facilitate change by developing action plans and systems.
Ability to develop SIGA-wide communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
Ability to develop plans and strategies to sustain and build upon SIGA's reputation for customer service excellence.

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)
Must be 19 years of age or older
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record



Other Information
May be exposed to tobacco smoke and high noise levels
Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Travel to casino locations and other area offices and locations as needed



Main Duties
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Operations, the Assistant Vice-President of Gaming Services supports the maintenance and development of SIGA’s technological gaming infrastructure and software, by organizing, coordinating and supervising staff in the Gaming Systems unit and managing vendor relations. The position will work closely with Operations, Marketing, IT, and other stakeholders to support and enhance operating performance.

Responsibilities include establish SIGA’s Gaming system strategy and provide clear, concise communication while setting expectations for deliverables; ensure that Gaming Systems business line adds maximum value to our organization in order to facilitate the success of our casino operations; evaluate new technologies for feasibility and implementation possibilities; lead and direct the implementation of new IT systems, internal and external, processes and policies; responsible for formulating, managing and accessing the IT budget and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the department; Application Administration and Process Management; Quality Assurance/Analysis/Reporting; Application Support and Performance Monitoring; Effective management of resources and projects activities as required.
