Education Combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
Experience Experience providing customer service and working with many diverse situations and personalities. Previous housekeeping or custodial experience would be preferred.
Knowledge Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture. Knowledge of WHMIS and other industry safety standards.
Skills and Abilities Ability to support change with optimism and openness. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form. Main Duties Reporting to the Facilities Manager and under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, this position contributes to the maintenance of SIGA’s memorable facilities, by carrying out cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for Casino guests and staff. Responsibilities include: Cleaning Casino floors, washrooms, offices, windows, and furniture. Maintaining a clean and orderly inventory of supplies. Assisting Maintenance Repair Workers with exterior maintenance as required and weather permitting. Providing customer service in the course of carrying out duties. Assisting with minor repairs to facility and equipment. Handling other tasks as required, to provide a clean and safe Casino environment.
Probationary Statement EXTERNAL NEW HIRES ONLY: Upon completion of your probationary period, your salary will be $13.87 per hour, less applicable statutory deductions.
