Food & Beverage Outlet Attendant

Education Successful completion of Grade 12, GED, or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
Experience Experience providing customer service in a food & beverage operation is preferred.
Knowledge Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards and guest interaction. Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
Skills and Abilities Ability to support change with optimism and openness. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form. Ability to provide exceptional hospitality based on First Nations values. Ability to follow direction and work within established procedures. Condition of Employment Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) Must be 19 year of age or older
Other Information Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Could be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels and sharp objects Congested workplace Strict dress code Heat (hot meals and beverages, steam) Walking/Standing (continual except for breaks) Balancing while carrying uneven or variable weights Coordination of fine movements (POS terminal, side work) Lifting/Carrying (15 – 50 lbs) Push/Pull/Move (up to 50lbs, event tables and equipment, beverage carts) Reaching/Stretching/Bending (delivering food to guests, bussing/setting tables, getting supplies)
Main Duties Reporting to the Food & Beverage Outlet Coordinator, this position is a key team member in providing customer service and quality products in casino-based food outlet locations.
Responsibilities include: Taking patron food and beverage orders. Processing payments. Providing friendly, approachable and helpful customer service as part of a team. Assembling, wrapping/packaging and presenting hot and cold food and beverage orders. Finishing a variety of par- or pre-cooked menu items. Ensuring that all stations are fully stocked. Strictly adhering to safe food-handling practices. Washing and sanitizing dishes, tools, surfaces and equipment. Receiving and storing supplies in a safe and secure manner. Assisting with other related duties as assigned.
Probationary Statement EXTERNAL NEW HIRES ONLY: Upon completion of your probationary period, your salary will be $15.79 per hour, less applicable statutory deductions.
