Job Description Senior Operations Manager

Sharing Success... through the provision of superior gaming operations services. Education
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in a discipline such as Business, Gaming, Management, Organizational Management, or closely related field.
Several successful years of directly related business may be considered.


Experience
Minimum of five years of experience in business or gaming management is required.
Must have experience in motivating, training, and working effectively with management and staff who have a variety of backgrounds and training.


Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Knowledge of budgeting and human resources processes, policies, and best practices.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of SIGA's corporate policies and procedures.
Knowledge of house games and gaming equipment.

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)
Must be 19 years of age or older
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

Main Duties
Reporting to the General Manager, this position focuses on operational effectiveness, by providing effective oversight of Casino operations, in assigned areas. Responsibilities include: Monitoring Casino operations to ensure overall integrity, and compliance with policies and procedures. Ensuring proper oversight and management of Casino financial activities. Developing business plans and budgets, with focus on revenue forecasting and projects. Providing effective direction to Management staff, promoting good relationships and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Handling escalated patron and staff complaints. Developing strong and positive relationships internally and externally, including maintaining a visible presence in the community. Overseeing all Casino operations, and related responsibilities, in the absence of the General Manager. Ensuring effective flow of communication to, from, and between all Casino departments. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in Casino operations, through on-going research and training. Serving shifts as the Manager on Duty on a rotational schedule. Modeling SIGA’s values, and serving as a positive representative of SIGA. Participating in other projects and activities as required, in support of Casino operations.
