Job Description Marketing Coordinator

Education
Successful completion of a marketing diploma from a recognized institution or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.

Experience
Minimum of two years of previous marketing experience would be preferred. Experience assisting in the development of multi media advertising plans and/or experience assisting in the development of promotional proposals and plans. Experience coordinating marketing initiatives within approved budget guidelines. Experience with participating in media buys. A strong customer service background would be an asset.

Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Knowledge of marketing and advertising principles, strategies, and ethics.


Skills and Abilities

Ability to select the appropriate communication methods and tools, depending on the audience and situation.
Ability to consistently provide friendly, timely, and accurate client service.

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)
Must be 19 years of age or older
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Could be exposed to tobacco smoke and high noise levels

Main Duties
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position promotes the Casino entertainment experience by coordinating and implementing activities that drive visits and revenues. Responsibilities include: Planning, implementing and evaluating on-site promotions, entertainment acts, special events and activities. Coordinating all advertising to drive visits to the casino. Carrying out full evaluations to determine the success of activities against forecasted benchmarks. Creating and analyzing a wide variety of reports, statistics and tracking documents. Coordinating Casino VIP and Players Club activities and events. Working with Motor Coach and Tour operators to drive visits to the Casino. Leading the Casino’s participation in trade shows. Developing proposals and evaluating the success of group incentive programs. Ensuring timely and complete communication flows between Marketing, other departments and front line staff, relating to promotional and communications activities. Maintaining strong working relationships with VIP guests, media, entertainers and their agents, vendors, suppliers, and Casino staff. Participating in other projects as required, in support of Casino marketing and advertising activities.
