Slot Attendant

SIGA is currently looking for creative, motivated, passionate, and energetic individuals to join our team.
Education Successful completion of Grade 12 or GED or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
Experience Experience providing customer service and working with many diverse situations and personalities. Previous gaming experience would be preferred.
Knowledge Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture. Knowledge of slot operations and diagnostics.
Skills and Abilities Ability to support change with optimism and openness. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form. Ability to provide exceptional hospitality based on First Nations values. Ability to follow direction and work within established procedures. Ability to work independently, be reliable, and take personal responsibility for tasks and deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating respect and consideration for others.

Condition of Employment Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) Must be 19 years of age or older
Other Information Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Could be exposed to tobacco smoke and high noise levels Congested workplace Strict dress code Standing/Walking (continual excluding breaks) Lifting (up to 150 lbs with assistance)
Main Duties Reporting to the Slot Manager, and supervised by the Slot Supervisor, this position ensures that SIGA’s slot-playing guests receive exceptional, friendly and personal customer service, contributing to an overall positive entertainment experience. Responsibilities include: Providing exceptional customer service to guests in an assigned slot section, primarily relating to slot operations, but also responding to general inquiries. Making accurate change and paying out jackpots. Handling basic slot maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as related guest concerns. Assisting with machine moves and conversions. Participating in other projects and activities as required, to ensure the Casino’s slot players have an exceptional entertainment experience.
Probationary Statement EXTERNAL NEW HIRES ONLY: Upon completion of your probationary period, your salary will be $13.73 per hour, less applicable statutory deductions.
