Job Description Procurement Specialist

Education
Successful completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.), Certificate Program. Business Administration Diploma or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.

Experience
Five years direct public or private purchasing experience in Marketing, Food and Beverage and Facilities projects.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (E.R.P) Systems, specifically J.D. Edwards Procurement and Contract Modules.
At least two years Experience working with procurement Contracts.


Knowledge
Current working knowledge of enterprise software applications such as JD Edwards Financial (or similar enterprise procurement system).
Knowledge of Canadian purchasing practices, including contract and procurement law, related regulations, and knowledge of a wide variety of goods and services.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee.
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA).
Must be 19 years of age or older.

Keyboarding/Coordination of fine motor skills (>2hrs at a time).

Main Duties
Reporting to the Manager of Acquisitions, this position manages and supports the procurement of specialized commodities of goods and services for Central Office, Casino Sites and Casino Development Projects. Responsibilities include, Preparation of Request for Proposals and all related processes including chairing the evaluation process, supplier selection & negotiation, Preparation of Invitation to Tender documents and tender evaluations, Contract document reviews, which ensures that quality and service specifications are fulfilled. Preparation of Request for Quotation documents and Quotation evaluations. Monthly inventory report supplied to Finance. Fulfilling Site orders for general stock kept in Central Office. Works with management and staff to develop functional specifications both generic and specific to identify goods and or services required for SIGA’s daily operations.
