Education
Combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.

Experience
Experience providing customer service and working with many diverse situations and personalities.
Previous serving experience would be an asset.


Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards and guest interaction.
Knowledge of safe food handling practices.


Skills and Abilities

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)
Must be 19 year of age or older

Main Duties
Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Coordinator and under the supervision of the Restaurant & Bar Supervisor, this position focuses on delivering customer service excellence, and quality, value priced dining, by serving food and beverages to guests in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner, whether in the restaurant, on the gaming floor, or at functions held in the Casino’s Multi-Purpose Room. Responsibilities include: Providing exceptional hospitality, emphasizing personalized service and attentive treatment, to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Adhering to responsible service of alcohol guidelines. Providing gaming floor beverage service. Restaurant & Bar duties include: Taking orders and delivering food and drink to the table. Carrying out basic food preparation. Maintaining tables in good order by bussing, sanitizing and resetting as required. Performing a variety of side work. Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties throughout the shift to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Catering & Event duties include: Assisting with event set up. Working as a member of the team to respond quickly and efficiently to event plan changes. Delivering food and/or beverage according to the type of event service. Assisting with post-event tear down and cleaning. Handling other tasks as required, to deliver exceptional hospitality, food and beverage service.


Probationary Statement
EXTERNAL NEW HIRES ONLY: Upon completion of your probationary period, your salary will be $15.79 per hour, less applicable statutory deductions.
