Shuttle Bus Driver

SIGA is currently looking for creative, motivated, passionate, and energetic individuals to join our team.
Education Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent training and experience in Transportation, Hospitality or Guest Services may be considered.
Experience Three years of previous bus/van/shuttle driving experience. Experience in providing customer service.
Knowledge Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture. Knowledge of the geographic layout of Prince Albert and surrounding areas. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements, transportation standards, vehicle safety, and related procedures.
Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form. Ability to provide exceptional hospitality based on First Nations values. Ability to exercise judgement regarding day-to-day priorities and situations. Ability to work independently, be reliable, and take personal responsibility for tasks and deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating respect and consideration for others.

Condition of Employment Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) Must be 19 years of age or older Must possess valid class 4 Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Other Information Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Could be exposed to tobacco smoke and high noise levels Congested workplace Strict dress code Driving in inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) Sitting (1 – 2hrs at a time) Driving (1 – 2hrs at a time) Lifting (up to 20lbs, placing bus steps, lifting walkers and other patron items into the bus)
Main Duties Reporting to the Guest Services Manager and under the supervision of the Guest Services Supervisor, this position provides convenient service to SIGA’s guests, and builds good relations (Miyo-wîchêtowin) by providing guests with safe transportation to and from the casino. Responsibilities include: Operating passenger vehicles safely and cautiously, according to SIGA’s established transportation policies, procedures, and routes. Ensuring passenger safety and comfort by monitoring vehicle condition, and assisting guests in safely boarding and disembarking. Keeping accurate records as directed. Greeting guests on arrival, and thanking them on departure, in a warm and welcoming manner. Responding to general inquiries and requests for information. Participating in other activities as required, in support of Guest Services priorities.
