Education Combination of relevant education, training and/or experience. Successful completion of Food Safe Handling Certificate.
Experience Experience working in a commercial kitchen would be preferred. Experience in working with diverse situations and personalities.
Knowledge Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture. Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
Skills and Abilities Ability to support change with optimism and openness. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in both written and verbal form. Condition of Employment Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) Must be 19 years of age or older
Other Information Irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Could be exposed to high noise levels and sharp objects Congested workplace Steam/Heat/Moisture (dishwasher, boiling water, working with hands in water, hot pans and plates up to 500F) Chemical substances (cleaners, detergents) Slippery floors Standing/walking (constantly except for breaks) Stretching/reaching (continually; placing dishes in dishwasher, and returning them to storage) Repetitive motion (continually; scrubbing pots, loading dishwasher, stacking wares) Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Main Duties Reporting to the Executive Chef and under the supervision of the Sous Chef, this position supports the provision of quality, value priced dining, by ensuring a steady supply of clean glassware is available for service. Responsibilities include: Receiving and washing soiled kitchen and tableware. Putting away clean kitchen and tableware. Carrying out general cleaning and kitchen maintenance. Assisting with inventory tasks. Working effectively as part of a team, to ensure the safe and efficient preparation of food. Handling other tasks as required, to support other areas of the Casino’s food service.
Probationary Statement EXTERNAL NEW HIRES ONLY: Upon completion of your probationary period, your salary will be $13.87 per hour, less applicable statutory deductions.
