Reporting to a Corporate Audit Project Manager, you will play an integral role in evaluating and improving the design and effectiveness of governance, risk and control and accountability processes at the LCBO. The position involves performing individual audits and working with teams in delivering risk-based audits and advisory projects, and other various audit initiatives.

Qualifications:
As an analytical thinker with demonstrated internal audit and related industry experience, preferably in a large retailer and/or public-sector environment, you will welcome this exciting opportunity. As a member in a dynamic team of audit professionals, you will use risk assessment, data analytics and other audit techniques to provide advice regarding risk management, control strategies/systems, good governance, and sound business practices. Your project management skills will enable you to effectively plan and execute risk-based audits, including operational, financial, compliance and VFM audits, focusing on internal control and process improvement. Your strong communication and presentation skills will facilitate effective dialogues with all levels of management. This position calls for your experience in risk-based internal auditing attained through progressive work experience in the retail industry and/or public-sector environment. In addition to an accounting designation (e.g., CGA, CMA, CA, CPA), and/or an auditing designation (e.g., CA, CIA, CISA, CFE), and/or equivalent education and experience, you have demonstrated proficiency and experience in using data analytics tools (e.g., ACL), audit management applications (e.g., TeamMate), and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Visio.
