Job Description Director, Corporate Learning & Development

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and in support of Corporate and Divisional goals and objectives, you will develop a corporate learning strategy that aligns with the LCBO’s strategic business plan. The Director, Corporate Learning & Development will direct and lead the Corporate Learning and Development team in the developing, implementing, and evaluating corporate learning and development programs, through needs assessment/analysis and research. You will also; oversee the development of strategic initiatives, such as the employee engagement survey and resulting action plans, to build a motivated, engaged and high performance workforce. You will also be accountable for developing and implementing diversity policies and programs as well as managing the department’s annual business plans and operating budgets.

In this position, you will be required to travel throughout Ontario.

As the Director, Corporate Learning & Development you have:
•Extensive management experience in effectively providing departmental leadership, directing staff to successfully implement and deliver programs and managing departmental operating budgets.
•Demonstrated senior level experience in the developing and implementing corporate learning and engagement strategies and initiatives.
•Expert knowledge in human resources development including the latest trends in consulting processes, learning theories, techniques and methodologies, usually acquired through experience at a senior level, preferably combined with formal education in adult teaching/theories, human resources, business administration, management/organizational development.
•Extensive knowledge and experience in effective program design using educational/instructional design skills .
•A strong background in developing and implementing workforce diversity programs and initiatives.
•Good knowledge and understanding of the interaction between corporate and divisional strategic plans and directives
•general knowledge of legislative acts that effect human resources management.
•Proven excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills, excellent consulting and group facilitation skills.
