Your Role In Our Continued Success

We are continually searching for the best talent; individuals who possess a deep commitment to the customers and markets we serve. We are currently seeking Manager, IT Application Development, in the IT department who would like to join a company that has created a unique working atmosphere that offers challenge, purpose and the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a team-oriented environment.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, IT in this outstanding opportunity, you will undertake the following:
Planning, coordinating and monitoring the progress of development projects to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals and effective use of development capacity
Working with internal IT groups, vendors and other third parties for creating innovative solutions for FCT lines of business
Interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, coaching and conducting regular performance reviews
Serving as a liaison to senior IT management, reporting on the status of current projects, identifying issues and assessing their impact and proactively recommending solutions
Leading change adopting best practice methodologies relating to application development and testing. Builds agile and effective operational processes that support ability to timely meet high standards for quality, performance, availability and security
Drive continuous process improvements and deliver on commitments to both customers and owners. Develop team culture which motivates quality, productivity and innovation
Managing resource allocation. Developing and implementing a flexible resourcing model to take advantage of contracting, off shoring, outsourcing opportunities where appropriate
Ensuring implementation of effective metrics, controls and repotting to measure the progress, productivity and quality of delivery of each team at all times
Planning and operating with budgetary constraints including project work, overtime, training etc.
Acting as the senior escalation point for all issues relating to development
Providing leadership with respect to career growth, coaching and training, along with succession planning for ongoing team continuity
Effectively interacting with all other IT groups and executive management in creating and implementing strategic plans while balancing day-to-day demands
Organize development team in response to outages
Preparing effort estimates for projects, including high level impact analysis to other project activities

Requirements

Requirements:
o The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, high energy individual
o Minimum of 10 years of development with Microsoft technology for application and integrations solutions and at least 7 years of leadership and management experience
o A university degree in Computer Science, information systems, engineering or related field
o Thorough technical background in development and architecture combined with outstanding managerial and leadership talents
o Project management experience and proven ability to facilitate multidisciplinary projects teams in accomplishing strategic goals with verifiable record of success in managing all aspects of large scale systems projects and initiatives
o Strong problem solving and troubleshooting technique
o Solid experience in designing IT applications
o Experience in various SDLC (i.e. Iterative, Agile)
o PMP preferred
o Strong communication skills
o Experience in a customer service-centric environment
