Job Summary:

Under direct supervision of a Fully Qualified Certifier / Mentor, completes simple certification projects. Makes assisted technical decisions based on knowledge, training and experience to maintain the integrity of the CSA Mark.

Responsibility:

1. Works with mentor to ensure completion or projects within time frame deadlines. With mentor assistance, evaluates products against requirements of national and/or international standards. With assistance, prepares work orders for the test program. Works in collaboration with Lab personnel to determine applicable tests. Prepares Certification reports, Certificates of Compliance and other related CSA documentation for the mentor.
2. Classifies product by use, environment and function. Determines applicable requirements/test/standard. Determines sample requirements and method/location for testing evaluation best suited to customers' needs. Conducts pre-assessment with mentor assistance, of equipment to ensure the unit is equipped with the proper components and agrees with the construction indicated on the work order and submittal information.
3. Records test data, prepares charts, tabulates data and calculates results as required. Maintains accurate, orderly and complete test data.
4. Strives to become more knowledgeable in national/international standards through research of standards, documentation, bulletins and technical articles in area of specialty.
5. Performs other duties as assigned by Mentor, or Vice Manager, Product Certification.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering: e.g. Electronic, Automation/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

3-5 year related experience.
Much experienced candidates are also welcomed for higher grade Certifier.

Skills:

CET 6 or above, good at English and Chinese in speaking.
Proficiency in Windows, MS Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Laboratory instrumentation, including operating principles and calibration procedures, as well as general Laboratory procedures.
Must be team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Self-motivated and client-service oriented.
Strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
Use of various lab equipment, instruments and tools.
Ability to read, interpret and develop engineering drawings and test data.
