Job Description:

OTN brings virtual care innovation to the healthcare system so that the people of Ontario can get the care they need when and where they need it most: at home, in their community or in hospital. For more than a decade, OTN has increased access to health care and education across the province with one of the world's most extensive telemedicine networks. Working with its many partners and leveraging its unique knowledge of health care and digital technology, OTN addresses challenges by introducing and spreading new ways of delivering care that benefit patients, care providers and the healthcare system. An independent, not-for-profit organization, OTN is funded by the Government of Ontario.

OTN is seeking an Executive Lead, Marketing, Digital and Experience Design. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy, and disseminating digital experiences, that engage with our target audiences and demonstrates OTN's alignment with health system direction to funders, partners, members and the public. This position will develop and execute an omni-channel strategic plan and approach that effectively reaches and engages all influencers on OTN's transformation strategy; gives telemedicine and OTN a strong presence in the policy-making process and builds opportunity for new and enhanced program collaborations and partnerships. Partnering with the key members of the OTN Platform team is a critical aspect of this role to ensure that all requirements are considered when developing user stories, journeys, experiences and designs to enable the most engaging and valuable experiences possible. In addition, the Executive Lead, will have a significant focus on a newly evolving area for OTN, speaking directly to consumers, patients and engaging with them through our digital assets and platform, while giving them access to self-management solutions, apps and programs that are available to them for free in the Ontario Healthcare System. The role is located in OTN's Toronto office and reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

Responsibilities and Activities:
Provide leadership, guidance, planning and oversight of the following internal teams, and manage the working relationships with VOR's as required:
Experience Design Team - UX/UI Design
Digital Team - Analytics, Social Media, Design, Copy
Events, Conferences, Outreach and Media
eLearning & Training Development Group
In collaboration with the Communications Team, develop an annual plan for each discipline that appropriately sets out priority activities mapped against the OTN corporate and business plan
Engage appropriate stakeholders within the Ministry of Health to re-frame how they view OTN's approach to our offering and OTN's marketing engagement needs
Develop and implement marketing strategies and outreach programs designed to inform key stakeholders, media and the general public of OTN's current value proposition
Promote OTN's current and planned service offerings to a wide and diverse audience influential (directly or indirectly) to future funders and partners
Position OTN as a leader, a partner and an expert resource in the virtual health care environment
Sustain a broad marketing and communications platform for attracting the resources and support necessary to effectively deliver system solutions
Closely monitor policy and planning initiatives and proactively encourage OTN's participation or input.
Provide leadership on complex projects and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver results; break down functional silos to optimize business results
Ensure all digital user experiences are optimized for key audiences and partners, VOR's or other user access points; mobile, tables, etc. and customer journeys - inform on the journey and experience for all initiatives, ensuring they "fit" into the core needs of the different audiences
Integrate analytics, user research, and persona definitions to inform design and digital (and analog) experience requirements with a focus on continuous improvement of the user experience and enhance return on investment
Provide critical thought leadership and expertise of digital strategy from concept, design, and customer journey, to implementation, launch of a range of digital experiences, informing XD but also translating these to the internal team
Direct and drive analysis concerning the economic and financial implications of existing and planned Omni-Channel initiatives or projects
Work with the analytics and digital team to leverage usage trends and site statistics and performance to influence the Omni-Channel strategy and roadmap
Develop comprehensive Social Media and Content strategies that will help accelerate OTN's mandate into both the healthcare system and the consumer space
Ensure that all Digital assets are AODA and CASL compliant, audit existing sites to update sites to meet these requirements
Provide creative leadership in the design and development of any digital, analog assets that will appear online or in print
Oversee any digital, online media buying and add development and placement for banner adds, online media and partner site placement
Help create OTN KPIs and ROI for each initiative, ensure value is ongoing for OTN, and not just focused on initial funding and if so, identify potential impact
Adhere to operational controls and comply with all legal and compliance requirements
Build organizational capability within assigned area(s) of responsibility
Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other corporate departmental policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required to undergo a criminal reference check

Qualifications and Attributes:
Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related discipline
Post-Graduate degree in a related discipline an asset
15 years or more of senior professional experience in corporate brand and consumer marketing, digital, social, analytics and at least 7 years in Experience Design leading UI/UX, Design teams
Strong knowledge of Canadian and provincial government, business and health care system
Ability and willingness to travel across Ontario as required

Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic experience requirements
