Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management, the Manager, Vendor Management is responsible for the development and maintenance of company-wide Vendor Management Governance Framework. In addition, this role will have accountability to ensure consistent Vendor Risk Management at D+H levering the appropriate tools. This role also has accountability to implement policies and strategies to ensure D+H meets regulatory requirements and customer commitments through initiating and implementing strategic business initiatives and partnerships with multiple business units.

Develop a strategic vendor management program, including approach and framework, for strengthening the partnerships with its vendors.
Conduct data analysis activities to help identify new potential cost optimization and demand management opportunities related to D+H's supplier spend.
Key product and/or service performance expectations from Customer Agreements are driving Vendor Management Plan to include but not limited to: auditing; performance score carding; liability, penalty costs etc.
Build internal consensus and support for partnership strategies and messaging to ‘key’ strategic vendors that will drive additional value. Take a lead role in implementing a robust vendor management program, tools and process for reporting and monitoring performance. Prepare effective presentations to senior leadership such as strategic vendor status updates, scorecard results and issues management.
Manage vendors through scorecards and other tools of performance and risk management.
Strategize and develop the parameters for measurement and accountabilities of vendor contracts, optimizing costs, mitigating risk and ensuring vendor/supplier performance. Interface with Category Managers to help Vendors ensure satisfactory compliance with contractually specified performance metrics, and mitigate any issues with performance that may arise.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
+ A minimum of 8 years of progressive vendor management or related experience
+ University Degree or equivalent work experience
+ Progressive experience developing vendor risk and diversity programs
+ Experience writing and managing vendor management and outsourcing policies
+ Experience in designing vendor management processes and reporting
+ Experience presenting and gaining buy-in of senior level leaders
Skills & Knowledge
+ Possess an understanding of IT trends, sourcing best practices and challenges; as well as market, territory and vendor dynamics;
+ Knowledge of procurement, vendor management and contract best practices, processes and tools
+ In-depth knowledge of industry specific regulatory requirements applicable to procurement and vendor management activities
+ Extensive knowledge of business environment; background in IT, Project Management and/or Finance
+ Refined time, priority and project management skills.
+ Project management: ability to think ahead, identify the critical path, apply project management methodology, and achieve results through others
+ Demonstrated leadership capacity; passion for results; propensity to step forward and take ownership
+ Solid analytical skills; ability to navigate through ambiguity, make recommendations and present them in a concise and logical way
+ Customer service mindset; solid interpersonal skills and integrity
+ Ability to communicate clearly, to the point, and with conviction
+ Proven track record of success; efficiency and scalability
+ Learning Agility: adaptability, focus on the solution, drive for continuous improvement
+ Recognized qualification in procurement; in a technology organization is an asset
+ PMAC or equivalent certification is an asset
