JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time
LOCATION: Montreal, QC
INDUSTRY: Valve Actuator Manufacturer
WORK MODEL: 100% ON SITE
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Approximately 20%
NOTE: Will mostly travel to Western Canada and the US, and possibly to Europe and Australia for trade shows.

• Must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
• Must have a valid Canadian Passport and be able to travel internationally
• Must have a valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to
lead their expansion efforts internationally. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in strategic planning, revenue growth, and customer base management. With a focus on executing the sales strategy, signing new distributors, and developing partnerships, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to meeting customers’ needs. Proactivity, strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a proven track record of delivering results are essential for success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand and execute the overall sales strategy.
• Identify new markets, industries, and potential partnerships to expand the business.

Distributor and Partnership Development:
• Identify and develop new distributors, service centres, and partnerships from audit to training, contracts, and commercial terms.

Market Research:
• Conduct research to identify business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.
• Analyze competitors and industry trends.

Customer Relationship Management:
• Cultivate and enhance the customer base through a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and implementing the sales strategy.

Sales and Revenue generation:
• Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Trade Shows and Events:
• Plan, coordinate, and attend industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase our products and network with potential clients and partners.

Project Oversight and cross-functional collaboration:
• Manage the end-to-end implementation of projects, serving as the liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring continuous alignment with customer specifications.

Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, for a cohesive approach to business growth.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant field
• 3-5 years of previous pertinent experience in business development, sales, or another relevant
role within a manufacturing/engineering environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact
effectively and maintain optimal customer relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10+ environment, CRM software, Office 365 and common
applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Technical knowledge and ability to learn product information quickly.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and promote company’s
products.
• Excellent French and English verbal and written communication skills (Spanish proficiency is an asset)

NOTE: Excellent verbal and written communication is required for this role, as you will need to communicate with internal and external clients in Western Canada, and the US on a regular basis, and possibly travel to Europe and Australia for trade shows.
