Status: Permanent, Full time
Salary: $77,000 annual salary
Location: Downtown Montreal, Quebec - Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days work from home

Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East. They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.

They are looking for a Market Data Administrator to oversee the the accuracy of financial instrument data in the Referential Database (CARD). Responsibilities include daily data checks for bonds, rates and equities, creating new instruments for trading, and providing trading support for bonds. Additionally, the MDA participates in project management as a functional expert. Challenges include the critical nature of the data for different connected systems and managing the complexity of different bond setup applications.

Responsibilities:

-Daily management of Market Data: creation of new instruments (bonds, equitites, rates) and control on existing stock including management of event/corporate actions
- Improvement of the Market Data processing within the Bank: continuous improvement, identity and tackle pain points within the chain
- Participation to the local projects involving the team
- Direct contact with demanding internal clients such as trading and sales forces


Qualifications:

- Ability to work with a small team while multi-tasking and carrying a good sense of prioritization
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Good knowledge of MS office package especially in Excel
- Self-motivated and excellent team player
- Strives to deliver the solution in the most effective and timely manner
- Basic knowledge of Bloomberg and Refinitiv (ex Reuters)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking or equivalent fields.
- 1 year minimum of previous experience in a Capital Market Middle Office or Back Office
- Knowledge of the capital market financial products and activities
- Knowledge of the banking Front to Back processing and challenges
- Knowledge the legal and regulatory framework applicable in the banking sector
