The Financial Controller is a key architect of our financial strategy and operations. Integral to this position is the responsibility for fund management, investment accounting, and the production of comprehensive financial reports.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the Foundation’s accounting and financial functions;
• Oversee the accounting operations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and analysis of financial statements and other operational and financial reports, general accounting, accounts payable and statutory reports;
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and other applicable regulations;
• Monitor and improve the Foundation's accounting processes, policies and internal controls to ensure the integrity of information;
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report;
• Support cash flow planning, both short- and medium/long-term;
• Ensure all CRA and Provincial regulations are followed on issuance of gift receipts and reporting

Requirements:
University degree in Accounting or Finance or related
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar function;
Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
Non-Profit CRM Software experience an asset
Not for Profit organization experience an asset
MS Office Suite experience (Advanced in Excel)
