Your Role In Our Continued Success

We are continually searching for the best talent; individuals who possess a deep commitment to the customers and markets we serve. We are currently seeking two (2) Commercial Law Clerks for our Oakville office, who would like to join a company that has created a unique working atmosphere that offers challenge, purpose and the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a team-oriented environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations in this opportunity, you will undertake the following:

• Review real property title searches and personal property searches, together with applicable off title searches, and identify title qualifications in order to determine title insurance coverage and risk ; and PPSA coverage and risk;
• Conduct, read and interpret corporate PPSA searches and title searches, dealing with lending institutions;
• Prepare commercial title insurance policies, PPSA policies and related security documentation;
• Provide information to customers regarding commercial title insurance, PPSA insurance, underwriting guidelines, endorsements, coverage, rates and procedures.
• Maintain customer relationships.

Requirements

•Law Clerk designation or equivalent experience
•5 years experience as a real estate law clerk in a law firm and/or title insurance environment handling corporate/commercial real estate transactions
•Technical knowledge of the practice of real estate law and an understanding of the mechanics of a commercial real estate transaction
•Professional and customer service focused, with excellent communication skills
•Ability to pay attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
•Ability to work independently as well as with a team
•Excellent computer skills – MS Office Suite
