Global Enterprise Services is the shared services team supporting all TMX businesses with various services including – Information technology services, security services, risk office, project management, vendor management and integrated business operations. The Information technology services in GES includes all facets of IT services from business analysts and architecture, software development and integration, QA, corporate IT / end user technologies, technology operations and infrastructure. The newly formed data team will include databases, storage, backup and various data application development and support teams.

This position is for an experienced scrum master to coordinate the delivery of agile based software development for digital products and services. As a scrum master you will be responsible for high quality product delivery, resolving issues in a team, and implementing sustainable improvements to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate development teams using Scrum Agile methodology for new product development and Lean Kanban methodology for operations.
• Collaborates with the Product Owner to prioritize the Product Backlog in order of business value.
• Facilitate end-to-end scoping and estimation.
• Conduct story mapping, sprint/release planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and demos.
• Document and maintain releases, features, user stories, tasks, bugs, and defects in the agile project management software solution.
• Identifies, manages and resolves Risks, Issues and Blockers.
• Lead the team to self-organization, cross-functionality and adoption of a mature Agile delivery.
• Continuously seek to improve team performance through tracking key metrics.

Must Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Technical degree preferred), or strong software development background.
• 5+ Years of solid Project Management experience.
• 3+ Years of Scrum experience, certified scrum master preferred.
• Effective in motivating teams and guiding them through impediments and/or conflict.
• Knowledge of agile development best practices, and experience with project management tools such as Targetprocess and Jira.
• Ability to rationalize design decisions in a clear and objective manner.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
• Familiarity with capital markets and financial market data an asset.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course an asset.
