As a COTS Application Support/Developer, you will participate in the support, maintenance and implementation of enhancements to the key COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) applications at the Bank, for example, Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) (SharePoint/OpenText) and Rational Tools. You will be required to collaborate with vendors, clients and colleagues and apply Application Lifecycle Management principles as well as identify user requirements, assess available technologies and recommend best solutions to meet client needs.
lead implementation activities, e.g., set up environment and conduct system/acceptance tests lead installation, configuration and development activities provide second- and third-line application support provide support, including on-call, shift and/or weekend work as required, for systems within area of expertise monitor performance of systems and service agreements to ensure that ongoing service delivery standards, service levels and IT policies are met develop IT standards, guidelines and documentation for the relevant technology solutions environment provide on-the-job training to colleagues and clients provide guidance and support to more junior colleagues for common/routine problems analyze and resolve variations of common incidents and gather information about more complex problems provide support to colleagues for the more complex problems and for undertaking enhancements work with clients and ITS colleagues to determine user requirements and prepare detailed specifications participate in all phases of the development methodology cycle to implement the required information technology solutions to meet business requirements perform unit testing and support the creation of test cases develop and maintain collaborative relations with internal and external counterparts (partners, clients and suppliers) to support operational objectives
ability to communicate effectively in both official languages knowledge of the following COTS: ATIPXpress, Planview, FM Space, $Universe, etc.
