Under the general direction of the Operations Manager in the Service Centre in Knowledge and Information Services (K&IS), your role will be to provide services supporting organization, delivery and access to information and information resources, for internal and external clients.You will play an information management specialist role within your team and externally in providing delivery of information services and access to information. You will carry out the more complex technical tasks within the team and provide coaching to more junior staff in areas related to the organization of information and in the maintenance and implementation of standards, tools and processes.
conduct straightforward searches and/or assist clients in the use of standard search templates within various information systems and collections catalogue, index and dispose of information sources and materials using established standards and guidelines guide clients in determining their information needs by asking questions and offering options, and escalate more complex requests to more senior colleagues maintain operational databases and system access controls to meet client information needs implement changes to business processes or procedures to ensure that operational objectives and standards in service delivery are met maintain collaborative relations with internal clients and external counterparts to support operational objectives provide coaching to Bank staff in the use of information resources and how to conduct effective searches to support efficient self-service participate in Type 1 2 projects and provide advice related to field of expertise
a college diploma in records management, archives or library studies and minimum of one year of work experience in records management, library or archives domain in addition: English essential experience leading teams or acting in lead role in project environment demonstrated ability to analyze/synthesize information requirements good knowledge of information management tools and systems high level of accuracy and quality of work ability to adapt to changing work priorities and competing demands ability to organize work and set priorities to ensure that production schedules and deadlines are met ability to work under pressure ability to work both within a team and with minimal supervision
functional in second official language college certificate in records management or information studies or the equivalent demonstrated ability to implement project plans of various degrees of complexity
