Position Overview:

Support the development & execution of Digital Comms Strategy – including the implement communications campaigns that serve the needs of employees & customers (intermediaries & end-consumers) and continually developing RSA Canada’s adoption & sophistication in digital (web, intranet, social media, etc.), educating & encouraging dialogue with key constituencies.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Internal: Coordinate and execute intranet and e-newsletter publishing as well as staff emails, including troubleshooting technical issues. Provide logistical coordination and support for internal events. Provide guidance on communications guidelines while managing reservations and publishing internal communications vehicles. Implement and oversee measurement techniques (i.e. intranet reports, event surveys, etc) to assess and improve the effectiveness of communications strategies.

• Web: Responsible for updating content and maintaining the overall look and feel of corporate website (www.rsagroup.ca), in order to engage customers and consumers.

• Social Media: The role will also support the ongoing development of RSA’s social media strategy – including managing our Social Platforms & support tools, coordinating Pan-RSA Steering Committees, monitoring social channels, and developing content/campaigns align to the business strategy & Communications team as appropriate.

• Write clear, concise, and timely content that contributes to the company’s overall communications strategies.

• Ensure the timely completion of projects. Support in other ad hoc logistics

• Effective management of external suppliers to meet deadlines of multiple projects at once and come in on our under budget
• Compliance with all appropriate Canadian policies

• Web-trends & reports
• Intranet stats.

What you bring to this role:

• 3 – 5 years of proven communications and/or marketing experience
• Industry experience
• Knowledge of internal and external communications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of:
Digital communications best practices and methods
• Management of stakeholder groups and their communication needs and priorities
• Superior writing skills
• Verbal Communication and consultancy skills
• Web site content development
• Comms literature design and development
• Desktop publishing
• Relationship management/diplomacy
• Project management
• University degree, college training or combined equivalent
• Experience of research and benchmarking techniques
• Executive level content development
