Under the general direction of the Manager, Design and Delivery, Service Centre, you are responsible for providing services supporting the organization, discovery of and access to information and information resources for internal and external clients.
conduct in-depth research and analysis relevant to the Bank of Canada develop and deliver customized content to clients through tools such as subject guides work with other specialists in the Knowledge and Information Services (K&IS) organization to ensure that client needs are met coach more junior colleagues on tasks, tools and processes related to research, analysis and design in the Service Centre
graduate of a masters program in library and information sciences from an ALA-accredited program (e.g., MLIS, MIS) a minimum of four years of experience in reference and research services in addition: English and French essential functional in second official language (training may be provided to help the selected candidate reach the required level of fully functional) effective interactive communication ability to communicate effectively with others by demonstrating active listening skills and conveying information clearly information seeking well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills; ability to discern relevant information and to make sound recommendations analytical thinking ability to analyze and synthesize information, to select appropriate research strategies and interpret data focus on quality and details ability to work under pressure, to organize tasks and establish priorities, and to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and standards teamwork and collaboration ability to work within a collaborative team environment where mutual support and willingness to learn are essential; ability to share expertise, provide constructive feedback and contribute ideas to achieve the goals of the team
undergraduate studies in the areas of economics and/or finance or equivalent experience
