As a part of the Human Resources Team, the Recruitment Specialist is responsible for Bank-wide internal and external staffing and recruitment, including the management of the university recruitment, summer and co-op programs. As a member of the Recruitment Team and under the general direction of the Recruitment Manager, you, as a subject-matter expert and trusted adviser, will provide strategic and operational services, guidance and advice to hiring managers in your portfolio in all areas of staffing and recruitment.
deliver staffing and recruitment services to clients in accordance with the Banks policies, guidelines and established service-delivery standards create a recruiting and interview plan for each open position develop and implement effective and innovative, individualized recruitment strategies with hiring managers, to source, recruit and hire high-quality candidates in a timely manner proactively guide and coach managers through the hiring process provide assistance with salary positioning, job offers and negotiations give advice and guidance on established HR policies and best practices in recruitment prepare effective posting and advertising material; maintain effective working relationships with external search agencies gather and analyze internal and external information to assess existing HR policies, programs or services; identify opportunities for improvement, process streamlining and better service delivery conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation work with the Mobility Team on international transfers and international recruiting lead or participate in projects that affect own work unit or business line (cross-functional); may be required to participate in cross-functional/Bank-wide projects and to provide advice related to personal field of expertise support and promote the Banks Employment Equity objectives; advise managers on these objectives carry out other duties/projects as assigned by the Recruitment Manager
university degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources 3 to 5 years of experience in recruitment with a combination of public and corporate/professional services 1+ years of agency/third-party recruitment expertise demonstrated use of a variety of advanced candidate sourcing techniques with mastery in several experience managing a full-cycle recruiting process experience with an applicant tracking system, preferably Njoyn up-to-date knowledge of recruitment trends, best practices and sources of candidates, including the area of E-Recruitment must be able to develop strong relationships with internal clients and external candidates, gain credibility, and be seen as a subject-matter expert in recruiting good analytical and problem-solving skills good attention to detail, ability to manage time and workload, and ability to multi-task knowledge of applicable laws, policies and practices related to recruitment ability to work effectively in a team environment and with staff at all levels, including senior management English and French essential linguistic requirement: minimum starting level 4, functional in second official language (training will be provided to help the selected candidate reach the required level of fully functional 5)
Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation Certified Human Resources Professional designation 1+ years in campus recruitment 1+ years in mid-career recruitment experience in economics and/or finance recruitment fully functional in second official language
