Global Enterprise Services is the shared services team supporting all TMX businesses with various services including – Information technology services, security services, risk office, project management, vendor management and integrated business operations. The Information technology services in GES includes all facets of IT services from business analysts and architecture, software development and integration, QA, corporate IT / end user technologies, technology operations and infrastructure. The newly formed data team will include databases, storage, backup and various data application development and support teams.

Role Summary:


This position is for a seasoned senior delivery and operations lead, that will be responsible for program level management and strategic definition of new product development initiatives and operational day-to-day maintenance of products/services. Responsibilities include providing oversight to scrum master and other delivery managers utilizing Agile-Scrum based methodology and Kanban processes.

Key Accountabilities:

• Organize and manage the day to day delivery and operation of a portfolio of enterprise wide digital products and services
• Build and lead fit for purpose agile squads for execution and delivery
• Provide leadership to delivery managers working with business/product owners
• Provide leadership to scrum masters employing Agile-Scrum for delivery of new projects and Kanban-lean for operations
• Participate in Experience Design workshops with internal and external cross functional teams
• Effectively and appropriately communicate with all stakeholders regarding delivery status, any risks/issues
• Proactively explore areas of improvement to increase engagement and reduce cost to existing digital products and services
• Create and manage operational procedures and processes
• Responsible or achieving and tracking towards high output, low waste, and cost effective delivery metrics
• Work with business partners and procurement for billing and invoicing
• Proactively suggest workarounds and mitigations to delivery risks
• Ensure compliance with process, such as ensuring all decisions, deliverables, and time are tracked
• Provide or identify training for team members as needed
• Assist group head on digital strategy and explore new area of opportunities

Must Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred), or strong software development lifecycle management background.
• 5+ years of experience in managing a large digital program with multiple concurrent product development tracks operating in an Agile (Scrum) and Lean (Kanban) software development life-cycle
• Expert experience in agile program/project management tools such as Targetprocess, Jira, etc.
• Working knowledge of web and mobile technologies and infrastructure, including front-end and application-based interface design, tiered web architecture, database integrity and schemas, and user experience
• Certification and/or strong working experience in project management, program management, and agile/lean delivery
• Ability to identify, collect, and analyze delivery/execution metrics
• Innovative and forward thinking in the area of next generation FinTech products and tools within Capital Markets
• Understanding of Capital Markets and market data and operations (completion of Canadian Securities Course required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills, including experience presenting colleagues, clients and partners having independently presented to Senior Management Level
• Ability to proactively engage customers
