The Opportunity:
The City of St. Albert is recruiting for a part time Administrative Assistant to join our Transit Department team. In this part-time position, you will provide customers with detailed information on transit services and administrative support to the Transit office and shop. The primary focus of this position is providing customer service assistance related to bus schedules, routes, fares, bus stop locations, complaints, lost & found and handibus services. Other duties will involve cash handling and general clerical support.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a High School Diploma. Post secondary education in Office or Business Administration, and basic accounting knowledge would be an asset. We seek candidates who have previous customer service and office administration experience. The role requires excellent customer service skills, an ability to listen and effectively communicate transit information to customers via telephone, email and in person. Strong MS Office skills are required, as is the ability to read and understand maps and transit schedules. Knowledge of the City of St. Albert is an asset.

Hours of Work:
This is a 0.50 permanent part-time position that will work 36 hours bi-weekly.

The successful candidate must have a flexible schedule, as there will be times when working additional hours or days will be necessary.


Compensation:
$23.74 - $28.88 per hour. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive flexible benefit package.
