Job Description Health and Well-being Senior Consultant

Position Description
If you’re looking for a challenge that stretches your talents and you want to make a real difference in people’s lives, join us as our new Health and Wellbeing Consultant. CGI has a dedicated global health and wellbeing programme called ‘Oxygen’ and this is your chance to participate in the development, coordination and promotion of it across our UK and Australia business unit.

At CGI you’ll find a friendly, collaborative environment where your ambition is rewarded. When you start your CGI story, not only will you be improving people’s lives, you can be sure we’ll do the same for you.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer you access to our share scheme (3% + 3% matching) making you a member not just an employee. You also have the option to benefit from private medical and dental insurance, flexible retirement options, childcare vouchers and a cycle to work scheme.

Now, more than ever we are ensuring the continuity of critical services that matter and we are still recruiting during these challenging times. As for the future? We work as one team, and are a Top 100 employer. Be a successful part of our story and we’ll support you in taking your career anywhere you want it to go.

This role can be based out of either our Reading, Solihull or Bridgend offices, however a flexible attitude towards travel is essential.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As our Health and Wellbeing Consultant you will part of both the UK and Australia HR team as well as a wider global team and in your role you will:
• Contribute to the implementation, coordination and local adaptation of the Oxygen programme in the UK and Australia by supporting both the Health and Wellbeing Manager and HR Business Partners.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the annual action plan, as well as organising and coordinating logistics and budget for health and wellbeing initiatives or projects in collaboration with the Oxygen lead, local stakeholders and/or external vendors.
• Adapt the Oxygen programme to reflect trends and best practices to ensure it meets local needs (legal requirements, health priorities, business changes, etc).
• Provide expertise on local health and wellbeing issues to the global Oxygen team, local HR and business leaders, managers and employees, providing them with the necessary information, knowledge and advice.
• Support the Oxygen communication strategy by building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This position opens up great opportunities to work with a team of professionals for whom peer collaboration is essential. With these diverse tasks, you will be at the heart of developing a workplace wellbeing culture and making a difference in the workplace

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
This is perfect for someone who has Health and Wellbeing as part of their role and wants to specialise, or someone who wants a new challenge in a large corporate environment.
Experience of a similar role in a large corporate environment is key and you must have previous experience of working with senior management with the ability to influence and persuade. Being structured, organised and able to work independently is essential and you will be passionate about your work and will have strong listening, verbal, written and presentation skills.

Although not essential, it would be highly desirable if you had some mental health training or other health and wellbeing related qualifications. It is however essential that you have good knowledge of the latest approaches and best practices in the field of corporate health and well-being, particularly in mental health and/or ergonomics.

The nature of this role will see you travelling to various CGI offices in the UK, and so you must have a flexible attitude towards travel. We are open to applications from people who are happy to base themselves in Reading, Solihull or Bridgend.

Please note; in some instances, we will expect to see the recruitment process lengthened, with interviewing and hiring taking place at a later date. Please be assured that if you apply for this role, your interest will be registered and we will be in touch soon to discuss your application further.
