CGI Federal is seeking a Sales Director to support the Intellectual Property Business Development (IP BD) team with execution of our growth objectives. We have foundational IP such as Momentum Enterprise Suite and Sunflower, but we are also focused on growing our IP footprint and portfolio by bringing CGI Inc. Global IP to the U.S. federal market.

This position reports directly to the IP BD leader (VP). The Sales Director is an individual contributor, directly responsible for actively seeking out new opportunities, prospects, and accounts, and working with the broader IP BD Team (capture, proposals, etc.) to close deals.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

• Help prospective clients resolve issues and create entrepreneurial win-win value propositions.
• Work independently to understand federal agency pain points and hunt for opportunities to engage with prospective customers
• Develop strategy to engage with prospective customers, execute on cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify opportunities
• Qualify opportunities and develop a strong pipeline for CGI Federal’s Sector Leads via phone, email and in person customer communications
• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the CGI technology, industry trends, and competition
• Hunt for and close opportunities, sell the opportunity internally as well as externally to prioritize support resources such as capture management leads, proposal and demonstration subject matter experts
• Develop client relationships and build trust in order to use our most satisfied customers as a resource for referrals

Calificaciones requeridas para tener éxito en este rol:

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background required
• 10+ years federal market business development experience, with at least 3 years specific federal direct sales experience
• Demonstrated track record of success
• Passion for technology
• Possess a high level of integrity, following federal procurement rules at all times
• Strong federal executive relationships with experience in presenting and communicating with owners/C-Level/ etc.
• A positive approach and an ability to learn best practices from others; create relationships & be responsive
• Competitive with a desire to win, while maintaining of spirit of collaboration with peers/internal support team
• Self-starter and hardworking, with a track record of success and drive for achievement
• Prior sales training certificate, e.g., Sandler, President’s Club, Dale Carnegie, etc.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $297,700.00.
