We are looking for a District Sales Manager (DSM) in Alberta South. This position reports to the Director, Sales West and will be based out of a home office ideally centrally located within the Alberta South Region.

Key responsibilities include:

Achievement of sales objectives, profitability targets and market growth for fixed wireless, satellite, accessories and IP applications
Achievement of customer retention objectives while ensuring acquisition cost is held within budget
Provide business development expertise, dealer training and marketing support to manage market development funds for ads, events ,etc.; provide knowledge of products and services
Foster relationships with town councils, chambers of commerce and other local groups which enhance the reputation, brand and awareness of Xplornet
Liaison with the channel; communicate, implement and monitor corporate programs and policies
Prospect, qualify and on-board new channel partners; purge low performers
Develop, train and motivate your dealers within the set expectations and supporting initiatives associated with launch of new programs, etc.
Present perspectives, inputs and issues of our channel partners to the organization in a fair and consistent manner
Work with the technology department to facilitate market build out, market penetration, resolution of network and other quality issues impacting dealer activations
Special projects as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in territory and/or channel management
Experience within the telecommunications industry is strongly preferred
Knowledge of the Canadian Internet Service Provider (ISP/WISP) market and relevant technologies is an asset
Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
Well-developed organizational and time management abilities
Can work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining tight deadlines and juggling multiple projects
Strong presentation skills
Attention to detail and excellent analytical/problem solving skills
Practical experience with a variety of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
Demonstrated ability to deal with business partners in a professional and engaging manner to ensure achievement of sales targets

Frequent travel throughout the region/territory will be expected, as dictated by business needs and sales priorities.
