We are looking for a Vice President, Mobility Enablement to be located in our Markham, Ontario office. The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated and results driven technical mobility leader. Reporting to the EVP, Information Technology and Operations, you will have the opportunity to drive the enablement of the mobility business for the technical implementation, and integration between IT, Engineering and Marketing while ensuring customer and business needs are met. This position is responsible for ensuring that strategies are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the organization is achieving its strategic goals at the optimum pace.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the continued success of the launch through ongoing initiatives intended to sustain and improve customer satisfaction and enable additional functionality supporting expected changes in the competitive environment, operational improvements and learnings from the existing customers
Ensuring that the organization is well-positioned in a rapidly evolving competitive environment by being an agent for ongoing change management
Working cross-departmentally with IT, Engineering, Marketing and the Project Director for the mobility program. This includes liaising with all necessary parties to coordinate change through building, testing and the implementation of systems, processes, policies and procedures that meet both business and customer needs for mobility
Participating in formulating an overall technology strategy for mobility and developing long range goals and objectives. This includes the direction, focus and visualization of activities in responsible departments to further the overall progressive goals, objectives and monitoring their progress
Providing oversight and support to large scale programs and new business launches. Supporting project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans, from due diligence work through to operational handoff
Conducting post-implementation assessments of projects to gauge success. This includes review of lessons learned, establishing continuous improvements, and determining action plans for any goals not attained
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that integration points and interdependencies are well managed
Working with the VP, Operations to ensure an exceptional end-to-end customer experience as well as the VP, Communications to ensure the integration between product and services and the Xplornet brand is complete

The ideal candidate will possess:

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 10 years’ program management experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an Information Technology and Mobility function or relevant equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years’ management experience in mobility and the telecommunications services industry with profit and loss responsibility
Demonstrated advanced written communication skills. The ability to position communications to align with business goals and corporate messaging
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to manage and function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a multi-cultural environment
Outstanding facilitation skills
Ability to adapt to differing contexts and be sensitive to cultural differences in the workplace
Ability to adapt in an ever-changing technical environment
Strong time-management skills. The ability to work well under pressure
Proven abilities to be a change agent and confident decision maker. Experience paving the way for needed changes and management their implementation effectively
A high sense of urgency with the ability to motivate and energize others to achieve results
Experience in addressing rapid changes in personnel, transactions, revenues and service delivery
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities. A proven track record of achieving organizational results
Proven skills in finance, specifically budgeting and P&L
Superior customer service skills
