We are looking for a Director, Sales – Western Canada responsible for achieving the sales objectives, profitability targets and market growth for fixed wireless and satellite within the region. In this role, you will provide sales leadership and strategy across all distribution channels including dealer, direct and partners. This position will be work from a home based office and will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Sales. By taking the lead within your region, you will execute Xplornet’s go to market strategy and deliver the company’s subscriber growth targets by embracing our fast-paced, ambitious and entrepreneurial environment. This position can be located in either Alberta or British Columbia.

Key responsibilities include:

Review and assess data relating to sales metrics and team productivity. Analyze data, trends and results of the department to develop and implement process improvements to drive results, and ensuring sales metrics are on pace to meet corporate objectives
Develop, train and motivate team. Development and growth of the Inside Sales team capabilities and results to support of the company’s acquisition goals
Prepare, adhere to and manage departmental budgets
Prepare and deliver internal/external reports, briefings presentations and sales results to be presented to the members of the Executive Team and internal partners. Monitor the accuracy of sales reports and other data essential to the sales organization. Recommend revisions of existing reports or develop new reports.
Liaise with internal and external partners; support and monitor programs and policies as well as support of initiatives associated with the launch or new programs, etc.
Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure strong communications and training plans are developed to facilitate sales results
Attend regular meetings with the Sales and Operations team and sales support to facilitate efficiencies from sales to installation
Special projects as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field (i.e. BComm) or equivalent experience
Exceptional people management and coaching skills including the ability to motivate and lead a team
Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
Expertise in core business processes related to contact center operations and the telecom industry or other high-tech industries, and their projects, services and solutions is an asset
Business case development and sales experience
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and lead strategically
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Budgeting, forecasting and report writing skills
Well defined analytical and problem solving skills
Highly developed planning, organizational and time management skills
Business acumen
Drive and enthusiasm
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Experience with independent leadership, national and internal customer support and/or sales is preferred
Computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
