Scope:

Reporting to the Security Manager, the main responsibility of the Security Supervisor is to ensure customer and and employee safety at all times within the Shopping Centre.

Responsibilities:

Building Security and Loss Prevention:
 Lead in the execution of Security Plan aimed at preventing and reducing criminal activity at the centre
 Encourage awareness and sensitivity to customer and tenant safety, while adhering to relevant legislation and regulations

Office Duties:
 Maintenance of an efficient office through proper staffing, accurate records and use of resources
 Review all reports submitted by Security Officers with emphasis on timelines, detail and accuracy.
 Statistical analysis of Security Incidents

Personnel:
 Provide supervision and encouragement to all Security Officers in order to meet objectives set out in Security Plan, while adhering to prescribed policies and procedures
 Responsible for recruiting and training of new staff as required with an emphasis on offering and promoting education and training to all employees in such things as First Aid, Handcuffing Techniques, CPR, report writing and computer knowledge and other skills required for performing their duties.

Tenant and Public Relations:
 Maintain and build strong relationships with local Law Enforcement agencies
 Become familiar with existing Tenants and new arrivals
 Provide guidance, recommendations and expertise to tenants and patrons with respect to Loss Prevention and other Security issues
 Ensure excellent communication between Merchants and Security
 Promote Customer Service Philosophy

Qualifications:

High School/NAIT/College Diploma or University with a major in Security related studies
3-5 years of Security or Law Enforcement experience
Previous supervisory experience an asset
Computer skills- MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Certified in First Aid, CPR and PPCT
Valid AB Drivers License
Valid AB Security License
