Medical Radiation Technologist, CT/X-ray

Qualifications:

-Current registration with CMRITO
-Will hold liability insurance as defined by CMRITO
-Current IV Certification preferred
-Completion of a recognized CT course required

Skill, Ability and Experience:

Recent related experience in various CT examinations including CT angiography and interventional procedures, or commitment to achieve required
-Demonstrated proficiency in IVs and/or completion of a recognized IV certification course, or commitment to achieve preferred
-Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and prioritization skills required
-Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
-Ability to meet the physical demands of the position required
-Experience in CT required
-Experience with electronic Health Information Systems preferred

Principal Duties:

Safely operates equipment to produce optimum images in accordance with CMRITO Standards of Practice at all Bluewater Health sites
-Ensures quality images are obtained and transmitted to PACS for distribution as required
-Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
-Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
-Other related duties as assigned
