Position Summary

As a Staff Clinician, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. You will support our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), working alongside clinicians providing mental health services. Hours of Work: Work from Home - Permanent full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

This position is currently a work from home opportunity for locations in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. If you are located in Nova Scotia, once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted there may be the possibility of working from the Homewood Health office in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

What you'll be doing

• Deliver EFAP services virtually, including confidential counselling, case management, and direct clinical services
• Receive case assignments, and complete case progress notes
• Develop service plans which outline a specific plan of action with each client under regular consultation
• Deliver solution focused brief therapy (video & telephonic) and complete comprehensive psycho-social assessment on clients as needed
• Participate in in-house training
• Provide flexible evening client hours, minimum two nights per week
• Afterhours crisis calls support from the Client Services Centre

What we're looking for

• Masters in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or other related discipline
• Must hold valid registration with the relevant governing bodies in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia
• Minimum of 3 years counselling experience
• Experience in brief solution-focused counselling
• Knowledge of assessment, crisis management, and EFAP services an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, French skills required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
