Position Overview:
The Marketing Assistant will report to and assist the Marketing Manager in the daily marketing activities and promotional events. The incumbent will be required to work 40 hours a week, including shifts on the weekends and evenings as required.

Responsibilities
• Assist the Marketing Manager and support the department with marketing activities
• Assist with production of marketing materials and literature.
• Responsible for all social media advertising, content and monitoring
• Assist with the production of a wide range of marketing communications, including radio and print.
• Provide support for marketing events and exhibitions as required.
• Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature
• Draft articles and promotional material for the company
• Work with the public and interact with staff and casino patrons
• Upload marketing material to our online website, Facebook page, twitter account and other social media sites.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with marketing initiatives (input data, organize and maintain databases, create and run reports, etc) as required under the direction of the Senior Marketing Coordinator.
• Assist with the analyzing of the marketing database.
• Manage events, bookings and ordering marketing materials.
• Any other functions as may be assigned.


Education and Experience:
• Social Media experience needed
• Experience in the gaming industry (or similar industry) is an asset
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office suite of products such as; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access) required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Personable, presentable and articulate
• Approachable with an outgoing personality and the ability to speak in front of large groups
• Effective project management skills
• Sound understanding of marketing principles
• Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideals in a simple and understandable form
• Strong administration and organizational skills
