QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
-Current Non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI) Certification
-Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) Certification
-Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Certification
-Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Certification an asset
-Minimum of 1-year experience in Mental Health Nursing within the past 3 years
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position if internal
-Excellent public relations, organizational and communication skills
-Able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary setting
-Documented commitment to continuing education through in-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills
-Experience in mental health trauma care is an asset
-Satisfactory Attendance if internal
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check
-Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
