The objective of the Alumni Program is to allow hiring managers to engage the services of CNSC retirees who may possess certain specialized skills, technical knowledge or important corporate memory thus providing the opportunity for them to pass along this knowledge through mentoring or coaching of other employees While returning Alumni can assist with knowledge transfer or coaching, they can also be hired to work on short term project, address shortage areas or assist in periods of peak or increased workload.As this Program is not intended as a means of filling permanent or ongoing positions, hiring will be on an "as and when required" basis for specified periods. The inventory will be used to hire individuals as employees or as contractors, depending on the situation.Managers who identify a need for a certain skill set may request a search of the inventory and referral of candidates for consideration. Given the nature of the Alumni Program, they may also request referral of any specific individual of interest.
