CIMCO Refrigeration is looking for an experienced sales and business development professional to drive business growth and build on our reputation as a trusted partner in the industrial refrigeration sector. The successful candidate will focus on food & beverage and cold storage industries, leveraging industry knowledge and an existing network of contacts to generate leads and secure profitable contracts.

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food & beverage and cold storage industries, targeting manufacturers, processing plants, distribution centers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, and use this information to formulate effective sales strategies and positioning.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding targets for revenue growth and project acquisition.
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineering firms, architects, contractors, and other influencers within the industry.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and project management teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that address client requirements and align with project specifications.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new projects and contracts.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to industrial refrigeration and cold storage, and utilize this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand visibility and expand the network of potential clients and partners.
• Track and report sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis to the management team, providing regular updates and recommendations for business growth.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A degree in mechanical or industrial engineering would be advantageous.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales within the industrial refrigeration industry, with a focus on the food & beverage and cold storage sectors.
• Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia, CO2, and synthetic refrigerants, as well as related technologies, equipment, and best practices.
• Established network and relationships within the food & beverage and cold storage industries, including contacts with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to develop innovative solutions and overcome challenges.
• Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory as required (~30-50% travel).
