CIMCO is seeking a Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter Lead Hand to support our customers' industrial refrigeration construction projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members are actively engaged and working in accordance with all CIMCO safety and quality procedures
• Work with Superintendent to ensure active job tasks are adequately staffed with the appropriate trades to meet schedule
• Coordinate all daily communication and activities with the pipe fitters, rig welders and helpers onsite and report back to the Superintendent
• Assist the Superintendent to plan and prepare that all site materials, consumable & deliveries are onsite prior to starting the next job task(s)
• Assist Superintendent in receiving inventory and document all equipment and material deliveries, notifying the Superintendent when delivered items are not in compliance with purchase orders, equipment schedules or project specifications
• Assist Superintendent to ensure all work is executed with an emphasis on quality
• Verify all welds are cleaned, stenciled, clear coated and visually inspected daily
• Assist Superintendent to generate detailed welds maps for all installed piping
• Assist Superintendent and over see that the field team are submitting accurate weekly timesheets to the Superintendent
• Observe daily field operations and suggest to Superintendent if any disciplinary and corrective actions to field hands and rig welders may need to be taken
• Ensure crew has the tools, consumables and equipment needed to safely and successfully complete the project on schedule
• Assist the Superintendent in daily coordination meetings with crew and help provide technical assistance and problem solving support as needed

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive movements
• Ability to work overhead
• Ability to use hands to grasp
• Ability to reach with arms
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop kneel, squat, crawl and twist
• Ability to sit, climb and balance
• Ability to work up to 12 hours shifts in all weather and temperature extremes
• Ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 50lbs
• Vision adequate to perform all required tasks
• Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
• Ability to work over 5ft above the ground
