CIMCO is looking for an experienced working Production Weld Supervisor at their Manufacturing facility in Burlington.

Role Responsibilities

• Be responsible for overseeing a team of employees on the shop floor
• Ensures that all work is being performed in accordance with applicable safety standards and regulations
• Provide guidance and instruction to workers regarding safety procedures and equipment operation
• Monitors work progress and quality to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specifications
• Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents or violations
• Collaborates with Foreman and Lead hands to coordinate work activities and schedules
• May be involved in the hiring and training of new workers

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Past welding experience is required
• Pipe and vessel experience an asset
• CWB Ticket is an asset
• Familiar, or worked with TSSA
• Supervisory or Foreman experience required
• Ability to effectively manage and instruct a team of employees
• Ability to perform hands on work when required
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Good computer skills
• Familiar with a Unionized environment.
