CGI Njoyn Cookie Policy

Njoyn is a recruitment management and applicant tracking website developed by CGI Inc. ("CGI", "we", "our" or "us"). This cookie policy applies to and explains how we use cookies on the CGI Njoyn website accessible at cgi.njoyn.com.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files containing data, which typically includes a unique identifier or personal data that you provide, for instances, when accessing a secure part of a website or completing an online form.

Cookies are created and stored in a cookie file that is placed in your browser's folder when you visit a website or web application for the first time. On subsequent visits to the website, your browser sends back the cookie to the website so that the website can identify your device and offer you a personalized experience. As opposed to persistent cookies (which outlast each browsing session and usually have a set expiration date), session cookies are placed only temporarily in your browser and automatically expires after each browsing session.

The Categories of Cookies We Use

On Njoyn, we (and third-party service providers) use different types of cookies, as described below, to enable core technical functionalities and ensure security, allow access to secure areas of Njoyn, and enable the playing of YouTube-hosted videos.

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the services you have specifically requested and enable the core features of our websites, including security and sessions management. The cookies are set by default and do not require your consent.
  • Functional Cookies
When you navigate to an external social media site through any of the social media plug-ins integrated into Njoyn, the social media service provider may use cookies. We recommend that you read their privacy information notice or cookie policy for information on how they use cookies.
Also, when you play any YouTube-hosted video on Njoyn, YouTube/Google may use certain cookies including:
    • the 'NID' or '_Secure-ENID' cookie, used to sed to remember your preferences and other information and whether you want to have Google's SafeSearch filter turned on;
    • the 'VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE' and '__Secure-YEC', which are used to detect and resolve problems with the YouTube service; and
    • the 'PREF' cookie, used to store information such as your preferred page configuration and playback preferences like explicit autoplay choices, shuffle content, and player size.
We do not control or influence YouTube/Google's use of these cookies and cannot determine if they are used for other purposes such as marketing and advertising. See more information in the next section on "Integration of YouTube Videos on Our Website".

Integration of YouTube Videos on Our Website

We have integrated YouTube-hosted videos on this website. YouTube is operated by Google LLC, a company operating under the laws of Delaware, located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043.

For privacy and data protection reasons, we have bypassed the need to load video resources directly from YouTube's server and implemented a solution that prevents Google/YouTube from automatically collecting your data or setting cookies on your device before you have actually clicked on a video. In other words, until you have expressed your consent to Google/YouTube processing your information and using cookies by playing a video, our solution ensures that no connection is automatically established to, and no cookie is served from, YouTube's servers.

Once you do consent, Google/YouTube may collect unique identifiers tied to your browser, application, or device when you watched a video on our website without being signed into your Google/YouTube account: if you are signed in, Google/YouTube may also collect data that they combine with other information in your account. Please refer to Google/YouTube privacy notice for more information on what cookies Google/YouTube set when you play a YouTube-hosted video and how they use the cookies.

You may withdraw your consent by clearing your browser session and deleting Google/YouTube cookies from your browser. You can also check and update how your data is processing in the Google Activity Controls. You can use the Google Dashboard to check and manage certain types of information linked to your Google account. You can view and edit your advertisement preferences in the Google advertisement personalization settings. You can find information about this and other settings and options (with related links) on the Google Privacy & Terms page.

Use of Social Media Plug-ins

We use the X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Xing social media plug-ins on Njoyn, which allows you to use third-party sharing functionalities offered on the website. The plug-ins are integrated on the website via the so-called "two-click solution". This means that when you visit this website, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. The respective plug-in is activated only when you click on the initials or logos of the plug-in providers.

When activating the respective plug-in, the provider of the respective plug-in will receive some information about you or your device - in particular your IP address as well as the address (URL) of the website from which you are activating. In addition, the provider of the respective activated plug-in can receive information from any cookies of the respective provider stored in your internet browser. If you are registered as a user with the respective third-party provider, the provider of the respective plug-in can generally also assign the received data to your user account.

We have no knowledge of, or influence on, the collection and processing of your data by these third parties. You may find this information, including information on your rights, in the privacy notices of these providers.

Other Similar Tracking Technologies We Use

We also use server logs to collect data about visitors' use of our websites. These logs may be reviewed for security purposes, e.g., to detect intrusions into our network. Furthermore, server log data, which contains visitors' IP addresses could, in instances of criminal malfeasance, be used to trace and identify individuals. In such instances, raw data logs would be shared with appropriate investigative bodies authorized to investigate such breaches of security. Server logs data are kept separate. They are not automatically used to identify you or combined with any personal data you may voluntarily provide to us.

To do so, please follow the instructions provided by your web browser or visit this section on https://aboutcookies.org to learn how to manage or delete cookies using your browser.
