Job Summary

Acts as subject matter expert for projects related to HR data analytics, reporting, transformation and automation of HR business processes and systems’ development and enhancement. Conducts qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to assist in the development and improvement of HR’s programs, policies and performance measurement. Provides specialist advice for the design and implementation of data collection tools and processes.

Statement of Qualifications


Degree/diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in a field relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of experience, training and education relevant to the position.
Degree equivalency


Experience in using databases preferably in the HR field.
Sound* and recent experience in using Excel spreadsheets at an advanced level (advanced formatting, use of macros, formula development, and the creation of graphs and pivot tables).
Experience in producing reports, dashboards, statistics, charts and graphs
Experience working with human resources information systems.

Would be considered an asset:
Experience in using PeopleSoft 8.9 or MyGCHR
Experience in project coordination
Experience in statistical analysis

*Sound is equivalent to one (1) or more years of experience.


Advanced and applied knowledge of Excel (advanced formatting, use of macros, formula development, and the creation of graphs and pivot tables).
Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting techniques for systems applications.
Knowledge of principles, methods and practices of project coordination.

Would be considered an asset:
Knowledge of Business Intelligence Reporting platforms such as SAP Business Objects and Cognos BI.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Lumira, Tableau or Power BI


Ability to works under tight deadlines, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to gather, retrieve, analyze and synthesizing data into analytics/reporting requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Client and result oriented.
Excellent writing, presentation and formatting skills.
