Reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, it uses federal support to invest, and seek to attract investment from private sector investors and institutional investors, in large revenue-generating infrastructure projects that are in the public interest by, for example, supporting conditions that foster economic growth or by contributing to the sustainability of infrastructure in Canada. Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank is responsible for investing $35 billion in new infrastructure projects to mobilize private sector and institutional investment.The Board of Directors of the Canada Infrastructure Bank is composed of the Chairperson and eight to eleven other directors.The Board is responsible for overseeing the management of the business activities and affairs that enable the Canada Infrastructure Bank to successfully deliver on its mandate of investing $35 billion in revenue-generating infrastructure projects that are in the public interest and that attract private capital, including:
