Reporting to the Director, Diagnostic Services; the sonographer will organize and perform Abd/Gyn studies, and small part examinations; maintain and document high quality images; practice good patient care. The incumbent will be responsible for various technical aspects in the operation, calibration and testing of equipment
• Current registration with CMRTO in good standing• Current registration with Sonography Canada• Certified in abdomen/pelvis and obstetrical• Experience in Vascular studies• Recent Relevant Experience• Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, Ris, and PACS• Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision making, and organizational skills• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions• Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment• Must meet physical demands of the position including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstand constant standing and/or walking • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality • Current certification in BCLS• Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety• Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English; oral in French) – and testing completed
