Summary of responsibilities

The Coordinator, Materiel Management will report to the Director, Materiel Management and Environmental Services and is responsible for Materiel Management department at the hospital. The Coordinator, develops, implements, and administers a co-ordinated supply support system that operates efficiently in accordance with the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Guidelines while meeting the needs of the various hospital departments. Provides support by establishing goals and direction of the procurement process in accordance with the Broader Public Sector Guidelines and provide training to managers and directors. The Coordinator, Materiel Management will lead, develop and implement a sustainable minor equipment process, including overseeing customer and supplier relationships.

Requirements of the job

• 2-year College Diploma in Business Administration Management, Public Sector Procurement Program PSPP101, HCSN Supply Chain Certificate within one year or equivalent
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage projects with conflicting time frames
• Capable of working independently
• Advance computer knowledge especially databases, and MS products and Sharepoint
• Excellent understanding of sourcing, contracts and procurement guidelines
• Strong analytical skills, research and analysis work
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on service needs and responding to issues to ensure concerns are being addressed accordingly
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong commitment to patient safety
