CCH is in the implementation phase of a five-year strategic plan, Leading Innovative Transformation, and is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to organize, plan, control, and lead the Information infrastructure and portfolio. The incumbent will ensure that CCH continues to adopt technologies and invests in digital assets that support the delivery of healthcare into the future.Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the senior management team, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will: • function at an executive level in an active leadership role with the hospital's governing body, medical staff leadership, and hospital senior leadership team;• provide executive-level leadership and strategic direction to the Information Technology, Clinical Informatics and the Innovation & Transformation portfolios at CCH;• lead the Cornwall Community Hospital’s digital strategy, with an innovative lens, while meeting the hospital’s patient care requirements; • be an exceptional leader who focusses on strategic thinking, effective communication and collaboration;• have an ability to adapt to changing technologies and technological landscapes;• be adept at managing change and fostering innovation.A comprehensive understanding of enterprise and cybersecurity risk is essential.
While Information Technology and Clinical Informatics is the primary focus for this role, additional areas of responsibility may be included in the portfolio, depending on the education, skillset and experience of the candidate.The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, experience and academic preparation:• Master’s degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Health or Business Administration, Clinical Informatics)• Bachelor’s degree (min) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field• A senior-level leader with a minimum of 5 years of digital and technology experience; preferably in health care• Advanced knowledge of Information Security and Data Privacy Standards• Proven experience in leading digital and technology transformations• Demonstrated ability to provide senior executive leadership in a complex organization with a diverse stakeholder group• Experience defining, communicating and enabling a vision with the ability to translate long-term vision into organizational reality• Demonstrated ability to connect with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization• Proven ability to deliver on transformational change and comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity• Demonstrated team building skills, and previous success with interdisciplinary relationship building that encourages employees to utilize creative solutions to apply new ideas and new ways of thinking• Ability to synthesize knowledge, insights and technical expertise into strategic advice, which informs policy, planning and program designAssets:• Functional in both of Official languages (oral and written in English; oral and written in French).• Certified Health Executive DesignationTo apply for this position, please submit your cover letter and resume in confidence using CCH’s application portal below by July 30, 2025.We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
