Summary of Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, you will oversee the delivery of professional nursing care to individual patients or a group of patients using evidence-based nursing practice. You will ensure a therapeutic and professional relationship by working with the patient, their loves ones and the members of the interprofessional team to plan, implement and assess the patient’s care while respecting the patient’s needs, values and beliefs.

Profile and Experience

• Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), immediate care level (C)
• Bilingual (French/English), intermediate level
• Your application will be considered based on profile and experience in the following order of priority:
o Firstly: one (1) year of experience in perinatal care (neonatal and/or intrapartum)
o Secondly: three (3) years of experience in perinatal care (neonatal, intrapartum, postpartum, perioperative) and/or as a lactation consultant
o Thirdly: six (6) months of experience in critical care (emergency, intensive care, recovery room) or surgery

Conditions: You must have up-to-date NRP training or be registered for a course to obtain it. You must keep your NRP training up to date. You agree to work in two specialized units (obstetrics and post-partum or neonatal intermediate and postpartum care).
