About the Position:

Lambton College Applied Research & Innovation Department works with many industries on applied research and development projects. All projects are funded by provincial or federal government and carried out by researchers, students and industry partner staff.

Lambton College is currently seeking applications from qualified researchers who are interested to join our team. Depending on the approved funded project, researchers will be hired and report to the Applied Research & Innovation Department or Lambton College Research Centre Coordinators.

Research project areas:
1. Information Technology (App Development, Software Development, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Big Data)
2. Advanced Manufacturing
3. Material Science (Rubber, Plastic and Nanomaterials) with Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Mechanical and Thermal Analysis Expertise
4. Bio-Industrial Processes
5. Instrumentation, Process Control and Automation
6. Water and Wastewater Process Design
7. Analytical Chemistry
8. Social Science with Data Analysis Expertise

Specific Accountabilities:

Duties entail planning, designing, conducting, managing and reporting on a collaborative research project. Conducting tests and experiments, gathering, interpreting and recording research and data, operating lab equipment is also required. You will supervise and provide mentorship to research students.

Qualifications:

You will possess a degree in a field related to the specific project area combined with research experience (Industrial research experience is preferred). You possess experience with designing research methodologies and carrying out research projects and also have excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills.
